Södra Timber bets on Vision Tilt

The south Swedish Södra Timber Långasjö sawmill started up Vision Tilt on eight bandsaws during week 30. After some eight weeks of operation, the customer can see a significant reduction of saw band rupture as well as wear on saw guides and band wheels. Södra Timber has now ordered Vision Tilt also for its bandsaw line in Unnefors, where start-up is taking place in week 38.

Vision Tilt is a patent-pending system for active saw band position monitoring with automatic adjustment (band wheel tilting) in real time. The product has sparked great interest among sawmills and already 61 systems have been sold.
