New large order to Russia

Söderhamn Eriksson AB is delivering a complete sawmill to JSC Sawn Goods “Red October” in Perm, Russia.

The order from JSC Sawn Goods “Red October” comprises a log intake from Gösta Hedlund AB in Alfta/Sweden, a debarking line and saw line from Söderhamn Eriksson AB in Söderhamn and Mariannelund/Sweden, board sorting line from Roséns & Co Maskin AB in Lidköping/Sweden and a waste handling system from Bruks Klöckner in Hirtscheid/Germany.

The debarking line consists of a Cambio 680 with in- and outfeed equipment. The SuperSaver saw line includes an AKE reducer bandsaw for curve-sawing and thin saw kerf, a merry-go-round conveyor system and a Millomatic edger optimizer.

The plant will have a production capacity of some 160-180 000 m3 logs a year (2-shift operation).

Söderhamn Eriksson is the main supplier and the customer’s contact for the entire order. The total order is worth about SEK 65 million. Delivery is scheduled for the end of year 2012.

The first saw line that was built at the facilities of JSC Sawn Goods ”Red October” in the beginning of last century was a framesaw from Söderhamns Verkstäder (now Söderhamn Eriksson).
