Installation start at Red October

On January 28, Söderhamn Eriksson and its sub-suppliers began to install the machinery delivered for the Russian sawmill Red October. Mechanical installation will be completed by mid-May, after which the control system will be put in place and the equipment started up. The new plant is scheduled to take up commercial production in June.

Söderhamn Eriksson signed the delivery contract in the spring of 2012, including log intake, debarking line, saw line, board sorting line as well as waste handling line. Red October is located in Perm at the left foot of the Ural Mountains.

On February 4, the building site was visited by the region’s governor together with a TV team, and a report, also showing some of the installation work, has been sent on Russian television. Also see YouTube
